Dear [Manager],
I’d like to attend AWS re:Inforce 2025, June 16–18, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This is a great opportunity for me to build advanced skills, make valuable connections across the AWS security community, and learn how we can get more out of our AWS security investment with tools we already have and new AWS innovations.
Here are some of the reasons why I think it would be valuable to attend this year’s event:
The most in-depth security learning of any AWS event with more than 250 learning sessions. Most of these sessions are offered in interactive formats not available outside of the in-person event.
Hearing the latest security launches live during the keynote and innovation talks and then being among the first to learn how to use them during expert-led sessions.
Working with the AWS experts who built the security tools we already have to come up with solutions for our specific challenges and get more out of our AWS investment.
Spending time at the Expo, where I’ll have one-to-one access to more than 85 AWS Partners who can help brainstorm ideas for scaling our security efforts efficiently and effectively.
Building relationships with fellow AWS customers during meet-ups designed to facilitate connections between peers, mentors, and experts who are facing—or have already navigated—similar challenges.
Here’s a breakdown of estimated costs:
Domestic round-trip airfare estimate (subject to airline prices and availability): $600
Hotel (4 nights at the average re:Inforce rate): $296 per night/$1,184 + tax and fees
Registration fee: $1,099
Total: $2,883 + taxes and fees
Following the conference, I’ll schedule time with our team to share what I learned at re:Inforce, train my team on new security technology and skills, and propose a plan to implement my learnings to drive results against our company’s goals.
Thank you for considering my request to attend this event. I’m really excited about this opportunity and look forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
[your name]
