Accessibility services

AWS is committed to driving awareness of and influencing improvements in accessibility across all events.

Services available to all attendees

  • Accessible seating

    • Designated accessible seating is available in keynote, innovation talks, breakout sessions, lightning talks, and chalk talks for attendees who are Blind, low vision, hard of hearing, or Deaf, and attendees who use a mobility device.
    • For workshops, code talks, and builders’ sessions an ambassador will be available in conference rooms to assist with seating. 
  • All-gender restrooms

    All-gender restrooms will be available throughout the event. 
  • Assistive listening devices

    Assistive listening devices will be available in the keynote, innovation talks, breakout sessions, lightning talks, and chalk talks.
  • Lactation room

    A private, secure space will be provided for lactating attendees to express milk. A fridge will be available in the space.
  • Live captioning

    The keynote, innovation talks, breakout sessions, and lightning talks will feature live captioning for session content.
  • Reflection room

    A quiet space that attendees can use for meditation, prayer, yoga, or to find resources for sensory needs will be available on campus.
  • Sensory notice

    Earplugs, fidget tools, noise cancelling headphones, strobe-reducing glasses, and visual cue and feeling thermometer cards are available in the reflection room and help desk. These can be helpful for attendees who might experience sensory issues in areas of the event such as the Expo and keynote hall, which have the potential for excessive noise, moving lights, and atmospheric fog.
  • Translations for Keynote

    • Live, spoken translations for the keynote will be offered in Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, and Spanish. Pick up a headset in the keynote hall to hear the translation.
    • Additional machine-translated languages will be available via the livestream. 

Services available by request

    ASL (American Sign Language) interpretation

    Dietary needs (gluten-free, vegetarian, and common allergies are accommodated as part of the buffet)

    • Vegan meals
    • Halal meals
    • Kosher meals

    Mobility devices

    • Mobility device rental and pick up is available at the help desk.

  • Requesting services in advance

    To request any of these services or inquire about a service you don't see listed, contact customer support. To properly coordinate services, all requests must be received by May 30th. Requests for services received after this date cannot be guaranteed.
  • Support at re:Inforce

    An accessibility concierge will be available by phone or text to assist with accessibility questions or needs during event hours. The phone number will be made available closer to the event. You can also contact customer support via email or visit a help desk.
  • Service animals

    Service animals are welcome at the Pennsylvania Convention Center and designated relief areas will be available.
